The inspiration for this elegant table at our Paper Petals and Plates event was drawn from designer Lydia Carraway’s “Laurel” wedding paper collection. This collection (pictured at the bottom of this post) features a calming blue-gray palette and buds ready to bloom. The natural and soothing feel of this paper is carried over effortlessly into this table’s design. Bromberg’s, the table’s designer, worked to ensure the table’s linens, china, and floral arrangements all emitted a traditional, yet tranquil feel.
The Garnier Thiebaut Palazzina Fusain tablecloth and napkins transported guests to another world with their romantic silver illustrations of a stunning Tuscan palace. The Tuscany theme continues on the Richard Ginori Fiesole dinner plates which also picture an Italian-setting, but this time in the countryside.
Mandy Busby, the table’s florist, used only five different florals in her centerpiece to keep the color palette simplistic. The flowers included Tibet stem roses, Majolica spray roses, Calcynia (the small white flowers), and various greenery. It was very important to Mandy that the piece felt very organic, as if the flowers and the greens naturally grew from the iron form. The hanging glass votives added the final touch of elegance to the piece.
