Today we are excited to feature another tablescape styled by food and flower enthusiast Christina Brockman, of Huckleberry Collective, showcasing the stunning Pursell Farms Resort in Sylacauga, Alabama. We believe this year there will be more outdoor Thanksgiving gatherings than ever, so our wish is for this Covid-friendly tablescape to inspire beautiful family gatherings in your yards, gardens, and on your porches and decks across the country!

This alfresco Thanksgiving table gives off the organic and nature-inspired feel of the Partridge Crest collection that Christina selected from our 2020 Holiday Collection. This autumnal paper suite features watercolors by Dogwood Hill artist Vaughan Spanjer. Vaughan’s family owns and manages the Pursell Farms Resort, the shoot location for this beautiful tablescape.

We love the burnt orange trim on the vintage tablecloth Christina used from her own collection as a layering piece for the table. The delicate china patterns, pulled from the Pursell family’s personal collection, echo the delicacy of the embroidered floral linen.

The Partridge Crest collection has two beautiful place card options featured below. They both can be shopped here.

As usual, Christina knocked the floral centerpiece out of the park! Protea, ranunculus, zinnias, magnolia, eucalyptus, roses, and bunny tails are just amongst a few of the vegetation she included for an  arrangement full of texture and color, while still allowing the stunning landscape around the table to shine.

Dogwood Hill’s founder and owner, Jennifer Hunt joined our Creative Director, Lucy Young, to enjoy the bountiful Thanksgiving meal prepared by the chef of Pursell Farms Resort. Filled with the classic Thanksgiving elements of glazed ham, a colorful tossed salad, mashed potatoes, greens, and a chocolate pie, the delicious meal tasted as wonderful as it looked (Jennifer and Lucy can attest!).

If you are not familiar with the Pursell Farms Resort, be sure to jump over to their website to browse their stunning farm grounds, award-winning golf courses, and rustically sophisticated lodgings including an inn and other various accommodations that allow for large gatherings on the resort property. We have included a few shots of the grounds below. The first one features the Pursell’s personal home where the photoshoot took place. This home overlooks the entirety of the farm grounds and the inn.

If you find yourself in the area on Thanksgiving day, Pursell Farms is hosting Thanksgiving at the Farm, a traditional Thanksgiving Day Brunch from 10:30AM – 2:30PM on November 26th. Click here for more info!
