Last fall we were so exited to partner with Texas-based event planning team, Cloche Designs, and Dixie artist Gina Langford to design custom paper goods for the Mr. McGregor’s Secret Garden Party held at The Argyle in San Antonio. From Save the Dates, to an eight page booklet invitation that included a small pocket for a map, to programs in the shape of the famous Argyle dessert paddle, we had the most wonderful time working with Cloche and Gina to design our most unique and spectacular custom project yet!

Laura Nell Burton and Christin Gish, the incredibly talented and fabulous ladies behind Cloche Designs, donated their time towards the design, planning and execution of this party. The garden party was a celebration of the ribbon-cutting for the newly remodeled Jackie’s Playhouse, a San Antonio historic landmark located on the grounds of the The Argyle. Cloche’s planning efforts raised over $180,000 for the construction of the playhouse as well as towards the Texas Biomedical Research Institute. The team at Cloche also oversaw the remodel and redecoration process of the Playhouse.

The afternoon was the dreamiest combination of an elegant garden party while still maintaining a magical and lighthearted atmosphere for the invited children. The festivities included a treasure hunt for a golden key to unlock the newly renovated Playhouse. We love the vintage-style Beatrix Potter books that Cloche prepared as party favors for the guests and the live bunnies that were hopping around the party! Be sure to head over to Cloche’s blog for the complete set of photos from the day.

The best part for our Dixie friends is that we have created a Garden Party Collection for you!  It’s one of our largest collections to date, so make sure you click HERE to shop and order!

The party took place on the lawn of The Argyle, a private dining club in San Antonio, Texas where Jackie’s Playhouse is also located.

These precious bunnies went home as prizes for the winners of the golden egg treasure hunt!

Children gathered around a storyteller to hear Beatrix Potter tales.

Continuing the theme of Mr. McGregor’s Garden…how stunning is this buffet of fresh vegetables? Guests were also served a Southern supper of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese.

This beautiful fondant cake was created by a pastry artisan that Cloche found in Australia!

The children were invited to snack on these Beatrix Potter cookies in addition to fresh, pink cotton candy spun by The Argyle.

Vintage Beatrix Potter books were at every seat as favors for all of the guests.

Cloche’s Laura Nell Burton and Christin Gish with Jackie Beretta, the original ‘Jackie’ of Jackie’s Playhouse, who performed the ribbon cutting for the grand opening of the new playhouse.

The beautiful interior of Jackie’s Playhouse….what all little girls’ dreams are made of! To read about and see more of the redesign process, head over to Cloche’s blog post here.

Jackie used engraved golden scissors for her official ribbon cutting duty.

Once the ribbon was cut, the children set out to find the golden key to unlock the playhouse! Four golden eggs were also found during the treasure hunt, the winners claimed their bunnies (pictured above), Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton Tail, and Peter!
