We are thrilled to introduce you to another one of our favorite photographers – Jana Sobel of 205 Photography. Jana grew up in Birmingham and attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, first earning a degree in mechanical engineering and then a Master of Business Administration. How does an engineer get her start in photography? A thoughtful gift from her husband, a Canon Rebel T1i, took Jana’s interest in photography to the next level. The rest is history, as they say. Her first photography instructor’s passion inspired her and she still takes workshops to this day, always eager to learn more. In addition to photographing weddings, engagements and birthdays Jana enjoys capturing those everyday moments in people’s lives that might otherwise go undocumented. When she’s not behind the camera, Jana loves getting matching manicures with her two girls, curling up with her golden retriever, Barkley, and taking trips to the beach.
