Today in our Artist Spotlight series we are excited to begin catching up with our beloved Dogwood Hill artists! The talented Holly Hollon has been a part of Dogwood Hill from its inception, and we cannot imagine our stationery without the fanciful illustrations and graphics that Holly regularly dreams up and creates for our products. Continue reading to learn more about Holly’s background and her day-to-day life in Birmingham, Alabama as she balances mothering two little girls while managing her branding business. Holly is passionate about bringing projects to life through meaningful concepts and ideas. With the use of her design knowledge, beautiful typography, illustration and whimsy calligraphy, Holly lives her dream daily, designing bespoke branding for her clients and stationery for Dogwood Hill. Holly studied graphic design at Auburn University, graduating in 2008. After working in the field of advertising, her entrepreneurial spirit lead her to begin her own business to pursue her creative interests in 2011. Holly and her husband Charlton are raising two daughters in in Birmingham, Alabama. When not designing Holly loves to spend her time decorating her home.

What inspires you most? Textiles
What is your most prized possession? A Limoge Pheasant Box my husband found at an estate sale that I was unable to attend. He gave it to me for my birthday, not knowing I had always wanted a Limoge box.
What is your writing utensil of choice? A Papermate Sharpwriter Pencil
What is your go-to hostess gift? A small houseplant in a basket from Leaf and Petal with a bow and Dogwood Gift Tag.
Do you collect anything? Postcards, China, Stationery, and Stamps
What is your number one tool of the trade? Clairefontaine Paper with Black Sumi Ink
