Our Marketing Director and stylist, Casey Snipes, recently celebrated her daughter Zoe’s first birthday. Knowing that she wanted to create a fun and colorful event for her family and friends to enjoy, Casey drew inspiration from Dogwood Hill’s Gracie Suite that features artwork by Vaughan Spanjer. We cannot get enough of the vibrant colors, pops of florals, and bubble magic that Casey pulled together to create a birthday wonderland in her backyard.

Our friends at Party Pickup provided the balloons in custom colors to match the invitations, and Casey, inspired by the pink flowers in our Gracie Suite, further customized the balloons by adding in the same paper florals that graced the centerpiece and served as the cake topper.

Guests enjoyed a delicious spread of savory and sweet treats, and to top it all off, a rainbow birthday cake that Casey made herself! We love the children’s charcuterie board which was filled to the brim with chicken nuggets, bagel bites, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Casey wanted there to be plenty of fun activities for Zoe’s friends to enjoy, so she put together a candy necklace making table, a rainbow ball pit, and kept the bubble machines endlessly flowing.

As guests left the party they took home these fantastic cookies from Postbox Sweets which were all tied up with our Gracie Gift Tags.

Another fun fact, Casey purchased the original painting that became our Gracie Suite from Vaughan Spanjer and had it framed and hung in Zoe’s room as a reminder of her magical birthday. It is available as an art print that you can shop by clicking here!
