Our second activity is a matching game printable that features Evelyn Henson‘s bright and fun artwork. We have several ideas about how this activity can be played:

1. Traditional matching game. Mix up the cards and turn them face-down in rows. Turn over any two cards and if the cards match, keep them. If they do not match, turn them back over. Continue until all the cards have been matched.

2. Hide and Seek. Hide one elephant card, one zebra card, one lion card, etc., around the house and each kid selects a card from the matching set and that is the animal they have to find. You can make it a race for older kids or who can find the most animals.

3. Patterns. Make patterns with one card from each pair and then the child makes the same pattern or guesses what comes next in the pattern. Repeat over and over.

However you choose to play the game, we hope it brings some time of enjoyment while playing a learning game with your child and enjoying the beautiful art!
