Our Paper Petals Plates event has come and gone and now all of the sterling silver, crystal, vintage china and delicate serving ware have been carefully put away. The jaw-dropping floral centerpieces have been deconstructed. And the fabulous Myka Meier has flown back home to the Big Apple. But we still cannot stop gushing about all of the fun from that evening!

The night began with guests enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from Coretti Catering while they toured the 12 different tablescapes, each inspired by one of Dogwood Hill’s new wedding stationery suites. Bromberg’s partnered with us to provide gorgeous china place settings for some of the tables. Guests were also invited to a calligraphy bar to have their name penned by Jan Pruitt and Vaughan Pursell to be ordered on stationery. Myka Meier then gave her presentation on “Wedding Etiquette for a Gracious Couple,” which even included advice for the appropriate attire for different wedding start times. The evening concluded with the door prize giveaways and scrumptious slices of Early Grey and Lemon Lavender wedding cake from The Cakerie served on vintage china from Tea and Old Roses rental company.

Thankfully, we have Mary Margaret Smith’s stunning photographs of the evening to look back on when we start feeling nostalgic. We are reminded of all of the lovely, generous and talented people who made our Paper Petals Plates evening not only possible, but positively spectacular! Please allow us to show off just how very hard they all worked to make this night a success.
