Continuing our Artist Spotlight series, what better time to re-introduce Dogwood Hill artist Eden Flora to you than in the dog days of a July summer in Alabama? Eden’s bright and cheerful artwork can always be counted on to radiate joy and vitality through her playful depictions and bold color choices. Eden grew up in Mobile, Alabama and has happily been an artist since she was a little girl. She received a BFA in Fabric Design from the University of Georgia and a MPS in Art Therapy and Creativity Development from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, her favorite city.

Eden worked for several years as an art therapist, and her art business, Eden W Flora Art, developed organically during these years as a need to care for her spirit. She loves living in a variety of creative ways and thus divides her time between her art business, working as a Registered Art Therapist and teaching yoga. By way of Birmingham, Mentone, Brooklyn, Nashville and Boston, Eden resides in Oxford, Mississippi with her very loving and very tall husband, Gray, and her two little boys. We have included some of Eden’s recent Spring & Summer artwork for Dogwood Hill below as well as some of her personal projects that she has debuted in Mississippi this summer. You can find all of Eden’s whimsical artwork on our website here.
