As we reach another birthday, it’s always fun to reflect on years past and to consider the years ahead. I think back to our first launch in 2015 and our small, but mighty team of two trying to figure our way through a start-up. Those days were exhausting, a little terrifying, but also thrilling. Today, I see a thriving company full of people who love working together every day towards the goal of creating and selling the best quality paper products in the business.

With reflection comes acknowledgement of those who make our Dogwood Hill world go round and I would love to highlight the teams of incredible people who work so hard and beautifully together to make Dogwood Hill happen.

If you are not familiar with our amazing artist roster yet, we have an Artist page on our website that I would love for you to visit. You’ll enjoy glancing through each of their profiles and finding art that speaks to you. I think of our artists as the celebrities of Dogwood Hill – they are the women you know, love, and follow on social media, and it’s their art that makes you have a connection with a particular item. Showcasing their work on our products is a privilege that I do not take lightly and so it is imperative that we handle design in a way that best compliments their art.

Which leads me to the next group of talented women: the Dogwood Hill Design Team. I enjoy so many things about my job, but my favorite part is taking the art submitted by our artists and working with our Design Team to create the products that you all purchase and enjoy. They create the patterns, evaluate the best use of art for each card layout, pair the art with the perfect fonts, think through all the color options, and consider the smallest detail that makes the art shine on each product. Because our Design Team integrates the art so beautifully into every piece we offer, each item you purchase reflects the level of time, thought and LOVE that goes into it. After the design process is finished, our Production Team sprints to get each of our collections on the website, along with a team of people who load our photo cards into our customization tool for you to create. Both tasks are complex and time consuming, which sometimes means they are working until the final hour leading up to a collection launch to make sure each item is ready for you to shop, create and purchase!

Beautiful products deserve beautiful photography, and we get just that with our super talented Styling and Photo Shoot Team. Our social media platforms and website are loaded with the gorgeous images they create. Speaking of social media, our objective is to make these platforms inviting places where you can engage with us, be inspired, and see our products in a beautiful, easy and impactful way. And we also love sending relevant newsletters and featuring partnerships, brides, tastemakers and more on our blog.
