We are thrilled to highlight our Light the Way card collection inspired by two Children’s of Alabama patients. The collection includes greeting cards that may be ordered for corporate or personal use, holiday photo cards, invitations, gift tags and stickers.
Alabama-based artist Abby Little Jessup created the art for the Light the Way collection with the help of 7-year-old Margaret-Anne and 10-year-old Harmony. The cards feature some of the hospital’s unique features, including the “river tree,” which represents the painted blue river that starts at the hospital’s entrance and helps patients find their way around campus. Margaret-Anne and Harmony painted the colors inside the lights adorning the tree and greenery.
Dogwood Hill began supporting Children’s of Alabama after our founder and CEO, Jennifer Hunt, served on their Committee for the Future. “I saw the inside workings of the hospital during my time serving on the committee and observed how the staff and physicians support families at some of their most difficult times. It inspired me to find ways to join their efforts.”
A portion of the proceeds from every sale of the Light the Way Collection will go to Children’s of Alabama, which helps families not only during the holidays but throughout the year.
“We greatly appreciate the talented team at Dogwood Hill for creating this meaningful collaboration between the artist and our patients,” said Chandler Bibb, Chief Development Officer. “Harmony and Margaret-Anne enjoyed working with Abby to create the art and inspire the beautiful cards with stories of their journeys at Children’s and treasured memories.”
The cards are available on our website here.
